Dublin Day 5: 11th June 2010

A day trip with Wild Wicklow Tour! Kinda look forward due to the great sceneries that can be seen along the way. Main worry is the unpredictable weather..always look so gloomy…

The tour first brought us through the sea side..south part of the city…and to the outskirts..we passed by Howth too..and another town that can be reached via the DART..We stopped over at Avoca Handweavers..and was greeted by beautiful flowers and great blue sky….

Then..we continued the journey through the mountains..and saw sheep…goats..cows grazing freely on the wide fields..took some pics along the way as seen below…

Had a stopover to explore Glendalough…we had lunch first..and I had this spinach soup..1st time....the taste was unique and tasty…and since the weather was pretty cold..the warm soup gives me a fortunate feeling in fact!

We trekked at Glendalough to see the lakes…for about 2hrs..spectacular view of the big and small lakes..and greenery all around…there’s also this graveyard…which was very picturesque..

Graveyard

Before going back to our coach, our guide gave us each a cup of st.jameson whiskey to warm our bodies in the chilly weather…great sensation!...and there we went..sayonara Glendalough and hello again to Dublin City!

This tour was as good as what others have recommended in tripadvisor…interesting and humourous guide..beautiful scenery…a relaxed sensation…we like it!

Upon reaching Dublin city, we went to check out the graffiti street which the coach passed by earlier on…it was amazing...almost all the streets in that area were filled with art…apparently artists will come to recreate new images at this place when their inspirations come by…amazing art..we had some time creating our own photography images too with the art..

And so we walked around till 10pm before evening seeps in and we saw sunset..and den suddenly…we saw a seal below a bridge across the Liffey river!...everyone stopped for a moment and see what the seal is up to..initiallie we tot the seal wanna go back into the river..but suddenly..it struggled up and climb to gain support so that it can enjoy sun bathing during sunset..it was quite amusing…I videotaped the whole process down of this cute seal…haha

After having this encounter with the seal, we walked along the river and capture some pics of the Ha’penny bridge..the famous bridge in Dublin city…actuallie there are many other bridges..but this bridge is the most prominent..Temple Bar was the entertainment area at night where everyone gathered in the little pubs and danced the night away…I enjoyed listening to the music…is like free concert..and everyone was cheering away…there’s reallie much music talent from Ireland…consider The Corrs…U2…hmm…I like their music!
